Ten kilometres away to the north of Sydney’s central business is Chatswood. This suburb is also known as the 3rd largest central business district and has a lot to boast about. Being one of the major commercial districts, Chastwood is home to many big time companies like Vodafone, IBM, Leighton Holdings and Cisco System to name a few. Being the humble abode to many businesses you can see their mark on the city by bringing in glistening skyscrapers and modern architectures that gives the town its own signature mark on Sydney. These tall establishments are visible even a few miles away from Chastwood and it also serves as a beacon of what’s in store in the suburb for all of visitors and tourists visiting the town.

Of course Chatswood, New South Wales isn’t all work and no play, the city is also a host to some major malls, boutiques and different stores reeling in designer names and famous trend lines that will surely make anyone want to shop. In fact the moment that you step out of the Station Interchange you will be greeted by Victoria Avenue which is lined up with different cafes, bistros and shops. A five minute walk down Victoria Ave is Westfield Shopping Centre and the Mandarin Centre. These two are one of the most sought after shopper centers in Chatswood because of its chic boutiques and famous stores such as Liz Davenport, David Lawrence and Lisa Ho. All of the malls and shopping centers also have food courts and cafes at the ground floor where you can refuel and replenish to kick start another round around the town.

Speaking of food Chatswood is not only known for its striking buildings and being one of the big business districts in Sydney it is also known for its scrumptious yum cha. The town is famous for having some of the best selections of Chinese restaurants like the Chequers Restaurant and Fook Yuen Seafood in Help Street. Fine dining at Chatswood doesn’t stop at Chinese food only the suburb has many restaurants that offer different types of cuisine like Italian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and many more to suite your cravings. Food and Plonk is also gaining a reputation that’s worth a visit with its delicious European flair and a chef worth noting down who had some experience with the renowned Raymond Blanc.

Amidst the energy of the town lies a place where most locals and visitors alike go for stroll the Beauchamp Park. The park was named after the governor of New South Wales William Beauchamp. the place serves a resting spot and a recreational area for anyone and everyone it even has a fenced dog area for your four legged friend.
