North Lakes is an award winning ‘master planned’ suburb 25kms north of Brisbane's CBD. Originally part of Mango Hill, the community was designed by developers Stockland, and is now ten years old. So far 9,000 people have moved to North Lakes; it will eventually house 25,000. The guiding philosophy is sustainable development. As well as man-made wetlands and water management systems, Stockland have firm specs for the building quality and aesthetic of homes in the community. There is plenty of choice amongst builders and designs; different villages within the development have different looks. |
