Noosa Heads sits on a peninsula on the tip of Queensland’s Noosa National Park.  Bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the East and North and Lake Wyeba to the West, Noosa Heads is just an hour and a half north of Brisbane on the stunning Sunshine Coast. It is a popular spot with migrants from urban Australia as well as from all over the world.

A real ‘lifestyle’ choice, Noosa is known for its lush scenery, warm sub-tropical climate, and variety of outdoor recreation choices.  As well as charter fishing, scuba diving and some of the best surfing beaches in Australia, and the world; Noosa offers varied nightlife and sophisticated coffee culture. Noosa Heads is one of the more high-end communities; but the whole Noosa area, now declared a UNESCO biosphere reserve, is notable for its carefully planned development.  Building height and population growth have been carefully regulated so that the area’s natural beauty remains intact and unspoiled.

The wider Noosa area has a population of around 35,000 and Noosa Heads has around 10,000 permanent residents. There are several schools in the nearby suburbs of Sunshine Beach and Noosaville.  Temperatures sit in the ranges 7-22 degrees in winter and 17-28 degrees in summer.  The ocean breezes take the sting out of the weather and it is rarely uncomfortably hot.
